Dear Faculty,
I am writing to provide a reminder for faculty in the colleges of Health Sciences and Human Performance, Distance Education, and Humanities (welcome to the pilot, College of Humanities) with information regarding NEXT STEPS in the FLAC project that is now live.
As of August 13th, 2026, all faculty members in the College of Health Sciences and Human Performance and Distance Education (including full-time and adjunct) officially have their load and compensation calculation processed through FLAC, replacing the manual paper process.
NEXT STEPS:
Acknowledgement of course load/overload and/or adjunct assignments will now be required by each faculty member prior to September 16th, 2026. Please note that an email will be sent to each faculty member to prompt the acknowledgement. No action needs to be taken until an email containing the request to acknowledge is sent out to each faculty member. Be on the lookout for the email from FLAC@vinu.edu any time between August 31st and September 13th, 2026. The date will vary by college and department processing timelines, as semester instructional/non-instructional and overloads are finalized. If this acknowledgement is not completed, pay will be delayed due to the automated calculations now within our system.
