Generating & Managing ID Number

Generate & Manage Your ID Number

Your PaperCut ID number is a randomly generated 5‑digit code used to sign in at Release Stations. Users do not have an ID number by default — you must generate one through Web Print.

Below is a streamlined guide covering how to view, create, and change your ID number.

Sign in to Web Print

You must be logged in before you can view or manage your ID number.

  • Go to the Web Print page
  • Sign in using SSO

Check Your Current ID Number

Your existing ID number appears on the Summary tab if one has already been generated.

  1. On the Summary tab, locate the Card/ID box
  2. Select Show to reveal your current ID number
  • If it shows (not defined), then you must generate an ID number

  1. Open the Change Details tab on the left
  2. Select Generate number
  • A new 5‑digit ID Number will be created
  • You can view it here or return to the Summary tab to see it displayed

Change Your ID Number

ID number changes are limited to 3 per day. This allows you to update your number if it has been exposed or if you suspect unauthorized access.

  1. Go to the Change Details tab
  2. Select Generate number again to generate a new ID number
  • After 3 changes, the system will display an error until the limit resets
