How to Check If An Email Is Spoofed?
Check the actual email address that email came from. Often, the address the email is sent from does not match the name of the person they are pretending to be. The picture below demonstrates an example of this.
Another thing to check for, is whether or not the email is given the
External"
tag, like show in the photo below. This will inform you that the email is not coming from within our network.
If you receive a message you believe to be a spoofing attempt, use the steps to report it as a phishing attempt! If you do not know to how report an email as phishing please click on this article.
