Request for 3rd Party Software Access

What is meant by third party software access?
Third-party software access refers to the process of an organization granting external vendor software, data feed, plugin, extension, single sign on, or federated identity (sharing Google email authentication) access to University Systems/ IT assets in some capacity for use. 

What is meant by a third-party Vendor?
A third-party vendor, also known as an external vendor or supplier, is an independent entity that provides goods, services, or solutions to another organization. These vendors are not part of the organization they serve but are contracted to fulfill specific needs that the organization may not have the resources or expertise to handle internally.

Each third-party software must be reviewed by the VUIT Security Team before access will be granted. 

Please submit this request prior to purchasing/subscribing to any type of third-party software to prevent hampering of intended usage. (All purchases must follow the VU Purchasing Policy).
