University computing resource, or the actual occurrence of any situation identified as a potential
risk to those resources.

Someone will contact you as soon as possible to get additional information and to provide
instructions for the next steps to take in responding to the security incident.
Please provide as much as the information as possible including:

● Description of the IT security problem
● Date/Time the problem was first noticed
An IT security incident is attempted or actual:
● Unauthorized access, use, disclosure, modification, or destruction of information
● Violation of explicit or implied computer use policy
Examples include:
● Compromised user accounts
● Computer system intrusion
● Malware, virus, ransomware infections, etc.
● Unauthorized access to, or use of, systems, software, or data
● Unauthorized changes to systems, software, or data
● Loss or theft of equipment used to store sensitive university data
